About

Hi, I'm Louie! πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Thanks for visiting my tiny segment of the World Wide Web. I created this blog to help share my journey and coding knowledge. As a self-taught programmer, the web has been my knowledge base for learning new coding languages and concepts.

I've had an interest in computers since I was young, and at the age of 12 I started disassembling old laptops in hopes of reassembling them to be just the way I found them. Spoiler alert: that never happened...

However, when I was 16 I learnt how to build my own gaming computer with the help of YouTube! This was the first time I realised I could learn cool new skills on the internet. πŸ₯³

I began to learn Python when I was 18 but was put off by coding because I simply believed, "I'm not smart enough to do this". Fast forward a couple years, I was on holiday in France, and instead of switching off and relaxing I started to learn some HTML and CSS. This is what sparked my passion and love for coding due to being able to see my code functioning real-time on the front-end.

Since then I've worked with JavaScript as my primary programming language, and dabbled in a couple others like Python and C# but only for fun! 🐍

My first commercial coding experience was born when I started to do freelance front-end development work for @dan_spratling, as part of his remote Jamstack agency (Skyward Digital).
